Two London academies have earned global recognition by being shortlisted for the highly esteemed World’s Best School Prizes, an international initiative that celebrates educational institutions making a significant impact in their communities.

Rivers Academy West London, a state secondary school located in Feltham, has been named a top 10 finalist in the “Supporting Healthy Lives” category. The school was acknowledged for its commitment to student wellbeing and its proactive approach to promoting mental and physical health.

Joining them on the global stage is One Degree Academy in Enfield, a state-funded nursery and primary school. It was selected as a finalist in the “Overcoming Adversity” category, which recognises schools that have successfully navigated significant challenges to provide quality education.

The awards are organised by T4 Education, a prominent educational platform dedicated to sharing best practices and empowering teachers and schools around the world. Winners of the 2025 edition of the World’s Best School Prizes will be announced in the autumn.

London’s Deputy Mayor for Children and Families, Joanne McCartney, commended the schools for their dedication and impact, stating, “They are shining examples of the life-changing impact education can have in our capital.”

Both schools now stand among leading institutions worldwide that are driving transformative change in education, with the potential to receive global accolades for their innovative and inspiring work.
