Defense Minister Affirms Military Readiness Amid Escalating Tensions

In a powerful address to the National Assembly, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif declared that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any threat posed by Indian aggression. He praised the military’s performance, particularly along the Line of Control (LoC) and the working boundary, highlighting their effective countermeasures against enemy operations.

“India’s hostile plans have been foiled,” said Asif, adding that this has deeply demoralized the Indian public, media, and political leadership.

Armed Forces Commended for Tactical Successes

The defense minister lauded the Pakistan Air Force for its swift and accurate response, including the downing of five Indian fighter jets and drones. Asif emphasized that such successes have uplifted the morale of the Pakistani people and armed forces, asserting that the entire nation stands united behind its military.

Diplomatic Efforts and International Support

On the diplomatic front, Khawaja Asif noted that Pakistan is in close coordination with key international allies, including China and Gulf nations, who have expressed solidarity with Pakistan. He stated that Pakistan’s mission at the United Nations is actively and effectively presenting the country’s stance, and so far, no nation has voiced support for India amid the tensions.

National Unity in Parliament

The minister’s remarks were strongly supported by other prominent leaders in the National Assembly. Politicians including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Misbah Uddin, and Haji Rasool Bux Chandio echoed Asif’s sentiments, expressing full confidence in the armed forces and affirming the nation’s readiness to defend its sovereignty.

In a show of national solidarity, JUI (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced that his party will observe “Youm-e-Difaa-e-Watan” (Day of National Defense) to condemn Indian aggression and express support for Pakistan’s military and national integrity.

A United Stand Against Hostility

The National Assembly session served as a resounding message of unity, with lawmakers and military leaders reaffirming their commitment to defending Pakistan. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s declaration of readiness and international engagement underscores Pakistan’s strategic and diplomatic posture in the face of growing regional tensions.
