Paris Couple Sells Wedding Tickets to Strangers in Bold New Trend

A Paris couple is breaking the mold of traditional weddings by inviting five paying strangers to join their special day. Jennifer and Paulo, a couple from Paris, have decided to open up their wedding celebration to strangers through the Invitin app, a platform that allows couples to share their wedding experience with others.

The idea behind the “open wedding” concept is to create a shared experience for locals and others who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a wedding. For Jennifer and Paulo, it’s about having fun and meeting new people. “It’s not just about the money,” Jennifer said. “We want to share our special day with others and make new connections.”

The five paying strangers will join the couple’s 95-guest wedding and will enjoy a full-day wedding experience, including garden vows, live music, dinner, and dancing. The guests will pay between €100-€150 for the experience and will be expected to follow a dress code and etiquette rules.

The Invitin app, founded by Katia Lekarski, aims to create authentic shared experiences for locals. The platform has already scheduled six weddings across France and is gaining traction among younger couples looking for unique social experiences.
