His orders aim to ensure peaceful and safe religious observances on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

Stringent Measures for Sensitive Religious Period

In a public statement, Governor Kakar emphasized the urgent need for strict safety arrangements around mosques, Imambargahs, and mourning procession routes. “Heightened security should be ensured in and around worship places, Imambargahs and mourning processions, particularly in the provincial capital,” he said.

He urged all relevant security agencies to strengthen coordination and maintain seamless communication during this sensitive time. His directive called for joint efforts between law enforcement and civil administration to pre-empt any threats and ensure swift action where needed.

Deployment of Additional Forces and Surveillance

As part of the security strategy, additional police and paramilitary forces will be deployed on the 9th and 10th of Muharram, especially in high-risk areas. These reinforcements will be positioned along procession routes, near major Imambargahs, and at public gathering points to prevent any disturbances.

The security protocol includes the use of CCTV surveillance, walk-through gates, metal detectors, and plainclothes officers. Entry points to key sites will be monitored and controlled, ensuring the safety of mourners and residents.
