Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz Advance to Cincinnati Open Quarter-Finals

Sinner Maintains Perfect Record Against Mannarino

World number one Jannik Sinner booked his place in the Cincinnati Open quarter-finals with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) victory over France’s Adrian Mannarino.

The match began with Sinner breaking Mannarino in the third game to gain early control. Mannarino, ranked 89th, saved a break point with an ace in the seventh game but could not avoid losing the first set.

Rain caused a two-hour and 45-minute delay in the second set with Mannarino leading 2-1 on serve. When play resumed, the Frenchman fended off three break points at 5-5 but faltered on the fourth, hitting a backhand into the net.

Although Sinner was broken while serving for the match at 6-5, he regrouped quickly, firing consecutive aces to seal the tie-break. This win marked his fourth victory in as many matches against Mannarino.
